In this article we deal with a new case where BSOD is display with an error message. This is particularly seen during startup or sleep mode. The basic reason behind showing such an error is Hardware or Driver related issues. The actual error shown in the screen is “Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart. Sometimes, HAL Initialization Failure gets solved during short interval of time. If so happens be calm else you need to restart the PC once. If restarting doesn’t fix the problem, follow the procedure illustrated below. There are seven unique fixings which is 100% successful. One or more will possibly resolve the error completely.   • Boot PC in Safe mode

Restart the PC in safe mode in Networking mode using Advanced Startup options/ Others. The best way to open in safe mode is using Run command window. Press Window key + R, Type msconfig & press enter. Now System Configuration Window will open. Switch to Boot tab. Under the Boot options, check mark the Safe boot option. Click on Apply and OK. Now Window will open in Safe mode. Now follow each procedure given below.

  • Turn off Windows Fast Startup

This will disable quick boot up of PC so that Kernel session do their complete work. Open Control panel > All Control Panel Items > Power Options > Choose What the Power button do > Navigate to Shutdown Settings > Uncheck the radio button saying “Turn on fast startup”.

  • Remove External hardware at the time of upgrading or updating.

This is because update gets stuck due to unavailability of required drivers.

  • Update Device Drivers

Although Windows update download and install all device drivers automatically. If you find that driver update is pending, you can download & install it from manufacturer website.

  • Disable running Antivirus

We recommend our Clients to use Windows Defender rather than another antivirus. You can disable or completely remove untrusted antivirus of no use. Open the antivirus and disable it from settings. Else go to control panel and uninstall it completely.

  • Repairing hard disk related issues

If your hard drive is having problem run the Check disk command in run Window. Open run command window and run chkdsk command.
