How to solve Audiodg.exe High CPU usage in Window 10 – When we play music, or watch video on PC the sound quality matters more for us. There is an executable file preferred in enhancing the quality of the sound. The name of the file is Audiodg.exe termed more as high CPU usage file. Any trouble to this file will degrade the quality of the audio from our PC. By default, this file in located in C:\Windows\System32.folder. In most cases restarting the computer will solve this type of problem, but if problem resists user must follow few troubleshooting methods provided below.

  1. Reinstall the Skype application – First of all Uninstall the skype app and then install a fresh one.
  2. Audio Driver Updating – In some cases installing a new audio driver may create problem in high CPU usage problem. In such case user need to install a proper audio driver or update the existing one. Download the new one from official or manufacturing website and install it with care till end.
  3. Disabling all sound effects – If you are using any sound effects then disable it and check whether problem is solved. To disable audio enhancement, right click on the Audio icon and select Playback devices option. A window will open being list of speakers, where green ticked speaker would be your running one. Select it and click on properties button. Navigate to Enhancement tab and tick mark on Disable all sound effects checkbox and save the changes. Restart your PC to check if problem is solved.
  4. Scan your PC with Antivirus

If your audiodg.exe file is located in C:\Windows\System32 Folder then scan whole C:\ drive with your favorite antivirus.

Running audio troubleshooter is a good attempt at initial stage. Run the program and check if problem is solved.
