How to set Data Limit on Windows 10 for Ethernet- The important feature is powered by Microsoft for those who don’t have huge data bandwidth and have very limited amount of Internet Access. Through this feature a user is able to monitor his/ her data uses and hence is able to control the amount of data that one can use.
This feature also helps us to control the amount of data used by the third party without using any third party tool. Setting Data Limit for WiFi and Ethernet for Windows 10
Click on Setting and go to Network and Internet.
Click on Data Uses. This will show the list of all of the data adaptor available along with the amount of data used. We can also see the uses of data per apps, for this click on View usage per app we can see the feature for both the WiFi and Ethernet.
Now Select the Network adaptor form the drop down box and click on Set Limit. We can set the limit on these credentials. I.e. One time, Monthly, and Unlimited. After completing this process we will be able to monitor the amount of data uses.
We can also check for Background Data as per our data consumption. The following option will available for that. I.e. When I am within 10% of limit, Always and Never. In this method all of the data usage will be available including for Xbox, and other built in device.
