- Perform System Restore –
Click on Restart, Hit F11 key as soon as the Computer starts. The system will automatically enters into Advanced Startup Options Menu. Select System Restore directly and continue with the steps.
Alternatively, Open Run Utility (Press WinKey + R) and type sysdm.cpl and hit enter. As a result System Properties Window will open. Navigate to System Protection tab. Now choose System Restore button. Select the desired restore point from the list. Complete the process by following On Screen instructions. At last restart the Computer and check if problem is solved.
- Uninstall the Windows Update recently downloaded.
For better Working, restart the PC in Safe Mode. Then Press Window key with I to open Settings Window.
Under Update & Security, Click on Windows Update. On right column of Settings window Click on View Installed update history. At the top you have Uninstall Updates link. Click on it to view the list of Updates done w.r.t time. Select the update you want to uninstall and click on Uninstall button on right lower corner of the window.
- Disable Fast Startup in Safe mode
Open the Control Panel Window (Winkey + R & Type Control). Now Click on Hardware & Sound (Click on Power Options in Windows 10). On left side of the navigation panel, Click on “Choose What the Power Buttons do”. Then click on Change settings that are currently unavailable. Under Shutdown Settings bar, uncheck the option saying “Turn on fast startup (Recommended)”. Finally click on Save Changes.
- Renaming SoftwareDistribution Folder
Open Command Prompt Window with admin accessibility. Then type the following commands one by one. Press enter after each command.
- net stop wuauserv
- net stop bits
- rename c:\windows\SoftwareDistribution SoftwareDistribution.bak
- net start wuauserv
- net start bits

- Disable Credential Manager Service
Restart the PC in Safe mode. Open Services (local). Go to Credential Manager. On right side of the list with gear icon, right click on Credential Manager. Select the Properties option. On General Tab, Navigate to Startup Type. From the drop down menu select Disabled option. At last click on OK to apply.
