For restarting window explorer, Goto Task Manager and click on Processes tab. Scroll down the slider till you get Windows Explorer. Then select it and click on the Restart button visible in the bottom right corner of the Task Manager. After restarting the window go for deletion process to check if problem is solved.

  1. Run The Check Disk

The hard drive contains many sectors where data are stored in correct format. It may be possible that the sectors gets infected causing such errors. In such case open the command prompt with administrative privilege and run the command given below.

  • Chkdsk /f /r E:

Here E indicates the drive where you get the error message. Here you need to replace it with your own drive letter (if required). The /f in the command try to fix the detected problems and /r will identify the bad sector and try to recover the lost information.
