User can change as many wallpaper he might want. Wallpaper is saved in Wallpaper history. User can delete or remove the wallpaper history as per his choice.

How to Change Wallpaper in Windows 10.

It is quite similar as done in other version of windows.
Open the windows setting panel. We will have number of wallpaper choice. Select any desired wallpaper.
Another method is to open the desired image that we wish to set as desktop background.
Right click on the image. An option box will appear. Select the option “Set as Desktop Background”.

How to Delete Wallpaper history.

Windows Setting Panel has a list of 5 wallpaper. 4 wallpaper are the previously used 1 is the image being used.  Whenever user changes the wallpaper the last images gets changed automatically.
To open the desktop background window follow these steps.
Open windows setting.
Click on personalization.
Click on Background Window.
If user wish to change the background from the last image used.
If user wish to extract all the background used follow these steps.

Open Registry Editor.

Press Win+R and type Regedit and press enter.
Move to following Path.


Here, user will find 4 different values named BackgroundHistoryPath1, Backgroundhistorypath2, …., BackgroundHistoryPath4.
It will appear near user’s right hand side.
This contains the information about the last four wallpapers used by the desktop user.
Right click on particular wallpaper history we want to delete. User has delete all the information one by one.

Where is wallpaper image stored in windows 10.

A question may arise in users mind. That where are the default wallpaper and lock screen images stored in windows 10.
Here, in article we will reveal the answer of users curiosity.
User can check the location of wallpapers and lock screen images.
Open File Explorer and move to C folder.
Click on Windows and navigate to Web option.
User can also use the alternative method also.
Press WIN+R and type the following code. C:\Windows\web
In Web folder user will see 3 sub folders. Namely :-

  1. Wallpaper
  2. 4K
  3. Screen

In wallpaper folder, we will be able to see the default wallpaper stored there.
4K folder, user will see default windows 10 wallpaper in high resolution.
