Procedure to Delete Event Log using Event Viewer on Windows 10

Go to search bar and type “Event Viewer”. Locate the EV icon and right click on it. Then click on “Run as Administrator”. Navigate to left panel of the Window. Double click on Windows Logs. Now right click on Application. Select the Clear log option. Then click on Clear Log present in right panel of the Event Viewer Window. This will finally delete the data present in Event Log.

Procedure to Delete Event Log using Command Prompt on Windows

Go to Search bar and type cmd. Right click on CMD icon and select Run as Administrator. Now Type “wevtutil el“in newly opened Command Prompt Window and press enter. You need to enter the code without quotes (“”). Pressing enter will delete all the saved logs. But if you wish to delete a selected one, then enter the code given below. ” Wevtutil cl + name of log ” – where name of log represents select log by us.
