We generally don’t use all of them as per our regular work routine. So, user seems to avoid/ delete/ close the unused system apps. Recently Microsoft has included a new feature to terminate or close preinstalled system apps using Windows settings. Some of these preinstalled apps are Alarm & Clock, Calculator, Camera, Mail and Calendar, Maps, Messaging and others. To close these preinstalled system apps, we have two options.

1. Using Task Manager

Task manager is the best way to close any unused or non-responding apps. If your PC don’t have Windows 10 v1803 version then you need to use task manager to close preinstalled apps.How to Close Preinstalled System Apps from Windows 10 Settings

2. Using Windows settings

Microsoft has recently added a new option in Windows Settings to close any preinstalled app in few seconds. Closing preinstalled system apps through settings is simpler. The new option is included in the Windows 10 version v1803 onwards.

Procedures to Close Preinstalled System Apps from Windows 10 Settings

Open the Windows 10 Settings window and go to Apps followed by Apps & Features. On right hand side of the window, a list of preinstalled apps is shown. Search the one that you want to close or terminate and click on Advanced Option. Earlier the window has only one option called Reset but recently you will find a new option called Terminate. So, click on Terminate to close the app immediately.

After clicking terminate button, you don’t get any notification for closing apps. But be sure that termination is preinstalled system apps is done successfully. So it is good to check your Windows having latest version v1803.
