There is great news for chrome users with more emphasis on security features. The new release is associated with extensions in Google Chrome browsers. The developers had named it as Windows Defender Browser Protection.
The extension meant the same security upgrade for Google Chrome as that in Microsoft Edge. According to Microsoft “The Windows Defender Browser Protection extension helps protect you against online threats, such as links in phishing emails and websites designed to trick you into downloading and installing malicious software that can harm your computer”.
How Windows Defender Browser Protection does works?
The extended feature works in a simple and straightforward manner. The extension will keep track of websites you are visiting. Although it is not acceptable means for privacy but Microsoft uses this to keep track of user’s internet traffic. It is not done individually but collected anonymously. You must be sure about the data uploaded by Google not shared with anyone.
After installation of extension on Google Chrome, it will check in an instant if any website you visited is safe or not. This is done with a strong list of URLs for malicious content all over the InternetBut when you visit a malicious website, the feature will show up a red screen same as Microsoft edge.

Follow the link on Chrome browser and click on Add to Chrome. On clicking, the extension will download successfully. The browser will ask if you want this extension to be installed on your browser. Just hit the Add Extension button and this will be installed on your browser. The extension pop-up does not show any additional settings other than Enabling or disabling the protection. A user can test this extension by heading to this website using any of the browsers like Internet Explorer, Edge or Chrome.
