Definition of Electronic Games Handheld Device – An electronic game is an electronic interactive program which respond to users instruction by hand held devices, Pin ball, slot machine etc. Today Video games is very popular among children’s. Children spends hour in playing video games. A video game is a game that comprises interaction with a user interface to generate visual feedback on a video device. The other electronic game are Pinball, slot machine or arcade games. Today electronic games are in the form of Standalone systems or non-visual products.

Types of Electronic Games:

1. Teletype Games – It is the earliest form of computer game which uses only text nor video. Teletype games does not have video display screens and present the game to the player by printing a series of characters on paper which the player reads as it appears.

2. Electronic handhelds – It is also the earliest form of computer game which is used to play interactive games like video game. The control, Screen, speakers are all part of a single unit. The visual output of these games uses few small LED lights later it was changed to liquid crystal and fluorescent display screens. It was popular in the late 1970s into the early 1990s. 3. Video Games – A video game is a game that comprises interaction with a user interface to generate visual interaction on a video device. Like Arcade games which extensively use solid state electronic and integrated circuits. Examples of video games are –

4. Audio Games – An audio game is an electronic game which save feedback on audible device rather than visual device. The audio game are limited for handheld and video game consoles. It run only on computer platform. Some of the audio games are-
