The new DNS service by Cloudflare will compete with Google’s Open DNS Service. The company confidently claims that the new service will not keep our connection’s logs for more than 24 hours. As a result, it helps to boost the user privacy on the internet. Next, it will provide faster DNS server than other in the market. It will take 14ms for sites outside their network to be fetched and located.

The new service will support DNS over HTTPS or over TLS. This will protect your browsing information from your ISP. It is 100% free for everyone. This service is now running and any one can use it without any hesitation.

The procedure to set up this DNS service is quite easy and need not require any expertise. So, perform few clicks and set up it and use.

How to Change the DNS Server settings?

Right Click on the Wi-Fi or the ethernet network icon in the system tray and open Network and Internet Settings. Now click on Change Adapter Options. Select the network connect you wish to change. Right click on this connection and select properties. Select Internet Protocol version 4 or Internet Protocol version 6 from the list of items.

Now click on Properties option. Now a new window will open showing multiple fields. You need to enter the IP addresses or DNS addresses. Click on the radio button saying USE The following DNS servers in the DNS service section.

If you have selected IPv4 server then enter in the Primary DNS section AND in the Secondary DNS section.

If your selection is IPv6 server then enter 2606:4700:4700::1111 in the Primary DNS Server section AND 2606:4700:4700::1001 in the Secondary DNS Server.

Now Click on OK to close the configuration pop up and Close button to finalize the settings. After all Restart the Browser and check the changing with new service.
