  • Run SFC (System File Checker) using Command Prompt



Press Window Key + R to open run command. Type cmd and press enter. As a result, Command is open. Now Type sfc/ scannow and hit enter. It will possibly recover missing or corrupt system file. Now install window and check if problem is solved.



  • Burn New Windows 10 ISO media



If you have already one, run again and see if it works. Else create a new one. Download the file from Microsoft Official Site. Create a new bootable media using ISO file. You can use either DVD or USB media. If you wish to use DVD, then burn it on lower setting 4x or 8x. If you wish for USB, make sure the read & write speed is excellent. Run the bootable media and see if problem is solved.



  • Perform System Restore in Safe mode



Open Run Command Window and Type msconfig and hit enter. Now System Configuration Window will open. Switch to Boot Tab. Tick mark on first option say "Boot Options" – Safeboot. Click on Apply & OK. Now prompt window asks you to click on Restart. Click on it. To Start System, Restore, open Run command box. Type rstrui.exe command and press Enter. Now System Restore Window will open. Choose one and click on Next. Continue till end. After restore successfully, perform installation again and check if problem is solved.

  • Run Windows Update Troubleshooter



This can be performed to fix those issues common to updates.


Go to Search bar and type Windows Update Settings. Now switch to Troubleshoot option. Click on Window Update for troubleshooting.





  • Reset the Repository component



First of all, Boot System in Safe mode. Make sure Networking is closed. Now open the command prompt window with Administrator privilege. Type net stop winmgmt and press enter. As a result, Windows Management Instruction Service will stop. Now navigate to path – C:\Windows\System32\wbem and repository folder to repository-old. Now restart the PC. Open Command prompt and type net stop winmgmt
and hit enter. Now Type winmgmt / resetRepository and press enter. Restart the system again and check if problem is solved.
