We have couple of troubleshooting to fix automatic maintenance error on Windows PC. There are five unique troubleshooting methods to fix maintenance schedule blocking.
- Perform System file Checking
This is really performed to repair corrupt or damage system files running on PC. To run System File checker, we need to open command prompt Window with admin privilege.
Press Window Key + R. Now type cmd
and press enter. Now command prompt is opened. Type sfc/ scannow and hit enter. It will repair damaged files in few minutes. Now restart the system and check if problem is solved.
- Enable Automatic Maintenance
Automatic Maintenance automatically stops currently running maintenance activities if the user starts interacting with the computer. Maintenance activity will resume when the system returns to idle status.
Go to Settings > Control Panel > All Control Panel Items > Security and Maintenance > Click on Start Maintenance
- Enable Automatic Maintenance (Using Registry)
Open run prompt and type regedit and press Enter. Now Registry Editor will open. Now navigate to following path.
If Maintenance is disabled, then you see a key saying "MaintenanceDisabled". Double click on it and Set the value data to O. Click on OK and exit Window. Now restart the system and check if problem is solved.
Procedure to fix Automatic Maintenance Error on Windows PC - 2
- Run DISM Tool
This will repair Windows system image and other components. It consists of three cleanup tools. Open Command prompt window and Run the below command. Navigate to Path – C:\ Windows\System32> and run the following.
A. /ScanHealth – Run as Dism / Online/ Cleanup-Image / ScanHealth
B. /CheckHealh – Run as Dism/ Online/ Cleanup-Image / CheckHealth
C. /RestoreHealth – Run as Dism / Online/ Cleanup-Image / RestoreHealth
- Check the Task Scheduler Services Status
To perform checking open Run command prompt and Type services.msc & press enter. Now browse to Task Scheduler from the list. Double click and open it. Go to Startup tab. Choose Automatic option. Save and exit the services window.
