Problem in movement of cursor can be big issue for users. The problem may be slow movement of cursor. No movement in cursor or pointer moves randomly.


These problem shows issue with touchpad. We can troubleshoot such issue. In this article we are about to discuss the methods to fix cursor issue.
Sometime, certain general techniques can fix our problems. Like it might be possible that we had forgotten to tune on our touchpad. User also must ensure that his finger are not friction less. i.e. mixed with oil, grease, dirt etc. There is few other steps, stated below.

No Cursor movement issue:-


If our pointer is not moving at all, then we need to update our pointer driver. If user has tuned off the touchpad option. Then follow the steps.
Turn off your system. User must ensure that all his data has been saved. Now, press the power button and hold it for 15 seconds. Make sure all the external devices are not connected. Like keyboard, mouse etc.
Turn on the system and test the cursor. Check all external device is working properly. Check the cursor is working or not. If it is fine then it will establish connection with external device. User must ensure that he has latest version of BIOS.

Steps to modify Touchpad Driver Properties.


Press WIN+Q to run the RUN Command. Type main.cpl. Click on Search Result.
Select the touchpad tab. Names of touchpad tab differ in different brands. User mostly finds it in last option. It shows Device Setting with Synaptic logo. One can find a Microsoft Mouse or Keyboard Center Tab.
Click on pointing device setting and check for the required changes. User can also Reset the setting option. Save the changes. Close the Pointing device setting windows.

How to fix slow movement of cursor.


If our cursor is moving slowly, then check for the latest drivers.
User can also adjust the setting. One can also readjust the pointer speed.

Steps to fix slow cursor movement issue.


Open the Mouse properties. To open mouse properties. Press WIN+Q to run the RUN Command. Type main.cpl. Click on Search Result.
Select the touchpad tab. After this follow these steps. In the pointer option. Click on Pointer speed to adjust its speed. Save the changes. Click ok to exit the property box.
Turn off your system to install changes. Switch on it and connect all the device one by one and check it.

How to fix Random movement of Cursor.


Our cursor move randomly while performing certain work. To resolve it, click on sensitivity. It will be in Mouse property under Pointer option.
Check that check mark is turned on. It is near right of Touch Guard.
Click on save option. Close the touchpad utility box.
If these steps won’t work then you will have to find the cause of problem. It may be due to interfering of program with normal program.
