Procedure to fix "bcrypt.dll is missing" error –



  • Run System File Checker


Open the command prompt window and execute sfc/scannow command to run System File Checker. The process will replace all corrupted and damaged system files.


  • Reinstall the affected program -


Since Dll file might create problem to some of the installed app. So, we advise you to simply reinstall all those apps as soon as possible. Press Windows key + S and type Control Panel in the search box. Go to the affected program and uninstall then reinstall it.


  • Perform Malware Scanning


Since the bcrypt.dll file is located in System32 folder and might be behaving like a malware. So, we need scanning for the removal of viruses or malwares. Open Windows Defender from the taskbar or launch the Settings app. Now select Update & Security > Windows Security > Open Window Defender Security Center. Select Virus & threat protection, Click on Run a new advanced scan. Select the option says "Windows Defender Offline Scan". At last click on Scan Now.
