Procedure to extend the period to uninstall a Windows 10 upgrade



  • As earlier said, the procedure requires admin privilege to run the following commands given below.


"DISM /Online /Set-OSUninstallWindow /Value:<days>"


  • Here you need to enter the no of days to replace <days>. You can easily check how may days are left for rollback to previous version by following commands.


DISM /Online /Get-OSUninstallWindow


  • If you are ready to rollback to the previous version, then run the following command.


DISM /Online /Initiate-OSUninstall


  • We can easily remove the ability to roll back to the previous installation of Windows.


DISM /Online /Remove-OSUninstall


The above commands meant valuable for IT administrators, where they can rollback PCs after long testing of Apps and software. It might be used to acknowledge the performance of PC.
