What is Scanner and Types of Scanner - A scanner is a device that captures images from photographic prints, posters, magazine pages for Computer editing and displaying. Alternatively, A scanner is a hardware input device that optically "reads" an image and converts it into a digital signal. Scanners come in hand-held, feed-in, and flatbed types. It has many uses, for example, a scanner may be used to convert a printed picture, drawing, or document into a digital file which can be edited on a computer.
The high-resolution scanners are used for scanning for high-resolution printing, but lower resolution scanners are adequate for capturing images for computer display.
