Procedures to resolve error related to Sticky Notes

  1. Firstly, Run Windows Apps Troubleshooter

By running Windows app troubleshooter, a user can resolve upto primary cause of the error. During run troubleshooter lists the Windows store cache as the main cause. So, it is advised to manually clear or reset the Windows store cache. To do this Open run command window by pressing 'Win+R' and type WSReset.exe and Enter. Follow the steps accordingly and check if problem is solved, else proceed to next steps given below.

  1. Secondly, Reset Sticky Notes Application

Resetting Sticky Notes might fix the problem upto major extent. A user need to follow few procedures to deal with this error. So, go through the steps written below.

  • Open the Settings > Apps > Apps & Features.

  • Navigate to Sticky Notes app and click on Advanced options.

  • Then click on Reset button and wait for some time.

  • Open the Sticky Notes app again to check whether problem is solved or not.

  1. Thirdly, Reinstall the Sticky Notes App -

The Sticky Notes apps is a native app and there is no direct way to uninstall a built in Windows Universal App. But uninstallation can be manually done using PowerShell. So, user need to open an elevated PowerShell prompt window and run the commands given below.

Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.MicrosoftStickyNotes | Remove-AppxPackage

After entering the command press Enter and wait a minute. Now go to Microsoft Store and reinstall the Microsoft Sticky Notes App free.
