Reset the Paint 3D apps –



To Reset Open settings à Apps à Apps & Features. Navigate to Paint 3D and click on Advanced Options. Now click on Reset Button and check if problem is solved or not. Else proceed to the next step.
Run Windows Apps Troubleshooter –


The step might solve the primary issue concerned with Paint. If the troubleshooter lists Windows Store cache as the main cause then it is advisable to manually clear or reset the Windows Store cache. Now run paint 3D again and check if problem is solved.


Open Run command window or Press Win+R and type the command WSReset.exe and click on OK.

Reinstall the Paint 3D application –


Microsoft Paint 3D is a native app and there is no way to uninstall a built in windows universal app like paint 3D. But we have one way to do so by using Powershell. So you need to open elevated Powershell prompt window and run the command.


Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.MSPaint | Remove-AppxPackage


After running above steps, browse to Microsoft Store and reinstall the Paint 3D app. We believe that these steps will help you out to resolve error code 0x803F8001 in Paint 3D.
