Google Plan to Remove Instant Search Feature – Google have planned to discontinue Instant Search features from search results. It means it will eliminate the Google search page where a user used to type their searches. According to Google “We launched Google Instant back in 2010 with the goal to provide users with the information they need as quickly as possible, even as they typed their searches on desktop devices. Since then, many more of our searches happen on mobile, with very different input and interaction and screen constraints. With this in mind, we have decided to remove Google Instant, so we can focus on ways to make Search even faster and more fluid on all devices”.

Google says that this feature makes little sense on mobile where most google searches are happening these. This features worked well on desktops. On mobile phones user has to type using on screen keyboards, which is quite counter intuitive. Where most searches with very different input and interaction are seen on mobile. This is the reason google have decided to remove Google Instant Search, in order to focus on another ways which make search faster and more relevant on all devices.
